Poor Othello
This week went alot easier after I figured out how to read Shakespear. But I know that we were saying that Othello was more of the outsider but I really think that there might be two outsiders in this story, Iago and Othello. I understand how we see Othello as the ousider but I see Iago as an outsider too, he is out to get everyone else and nobody else is that evil so there for I believe he in a way is more of an outsider than Othello. Shakespears plays are always intersting but I think this one was one of the most interesting.

That is a good point! Iago really put himself on the outside, so he could get what he wanted. And then in the end payed for it!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! Way to really look at the book from a different view. I also agree that this final reading was so much easier to read. Actually, at one point as lame as it sounds, I couldnt put the book down! Ha! Well I guess we will just have to see what happens with next weeks reading.
ReplyDeleteThe one reason I disagree is because Iago fit in with everyone in the story. He was part of every "group". He was in good graces with Othello and at the same time the man who hated Othello, and was also "friends with Des. and Cassio. So i wouldn't call him an outsider..more of a too much insider..if that makes any since
